It was hot. Really hot. And the air was saturated to the point where I couldn't walk outside without getting sticky. But the ancient town was beautiful. Bicycles and mopeds crisscrossed streets flooded with color: from the painted walls to the lanterns strung above.
The town cooled off once the sun went down and people came out to walk the streets. Lanterns were everywhere. Children sold paper boxes with candles to tourists, and they were left to float in the Thu Bồn River running through Hội An.
